"There is a commercial tool called Pascal Analyser from Peganza which does a bunch of static analysis on Pascal/Delphi code. The VP compiler is not open, and pure assembler, so that doesn't count, and compiler parsers are notoriously…"

G'day Folks,Does anyone have the code to build/display a typical hierarchy pls ?To clarify, I'm thinking of the sort of thing you'd find in a business to display who's in charge of whom/what etc...Tho' I wish to use it to see the hierarchy of all the functions & procedures I've built over the years, ie: in units etc.    And what depends on what etc.I already have code to extract the info .. currently held in a simple text line structure - tho' that could easily be turned into a…See More

Deleting to the Windows Recycle bin - SOLVED!

G'day All,Following on from Alcatiz's suggestion, I tried to implement the call in a unit - but ran into various problems trying to define a function as 'External' .. within the unit.     In short it was a no go.However, it turns out the desired (Windows) function "SHFileOperation" is already available in the VP UnitShellAPI .. and so doesn't need to be defined (as an external), seperately. Thus, as long as the setup stuff is done (as illustrated in Alcatiz's program), the call to…See More

Deleting to the (Windows) Recycle bin rather than ..permanently ... is there a way to do this pls?

G'day All,Deleting to the (Windows) Recycle bin rather than ..permanently ... is there a way to do this pls? That says it all I think :-) NB: This is running in batch mode - ie: "Compatible with GUI"At the moment I have to "delete", by "renaming" a file to the folder "\MyRecycleBin" that I set up - vs the one managed in Windows. It's just another folder with an obvious name - nothing special about it.However this technique at least preserves the original folder structure that the file resided…See More

"A good way to do this is to use a tDlgWindow as main window. If you need many options, as the InputBox you found, you can create controls or edit their properties dynamically."
